At least it wasn't in the back...

One of our members is currently gallivanting around the globe but FEAR NOT...we'll still be bringing out weekly grab bag of grossness or glamour...depending on the mood. Thank you technology!  This week a stake through the face...I guess the mood is GROSS.

 You know we love a subject matter when we are willing to make approx 200 gelatin scales...hand paint 'em and apply one by one until we see our dragon appear :-) Luster Dust was added for that dragon sheen.  This look was inspired by a black cat in the room while we were brainstorming who looks suspiciously like Toothless.

Ideas

Note to Self: Write ideas down  before they escape you

This week we had visions of our brains being made up of lots of little idea critters..waiting to bust out. With the help of mini brain molds and tinted gelatin we were on our way.   The skull opening was achieved with latex and cotton (with PLENTY of Vaseline on the skin as a barrier....please don't learn that one the hard way) Googly eyes helped us keep some strange cuteness to a pretty gory concept....and VOILA...Brain bugs :-)

Infected Meat

     It is one of our goals this year here at Altered Evolution, to start giving a little bit of insight into each of the looks that we put out each week....whether you like it or not! 

     Our Zombie began the same way a lot of looks do. Random Brainstorming. We pick up an object (in this case a Woochie face prosthetic we picked up along the way)  and bounce ideas around until we land of something to make it our own.  After a lot of latex and paint, it was pretty cool looking, but still not quite there.  One splash of toxic green water based paint and a comfy dog scooped into the arms later, we arrive at a concept. 

Hope you enjoy the finished product and remember...not one tiny dog was actually devoured in the making of this look ;-)
